Director – Patrick Boggon BA, DipM, CFRE
Patrick has built a track record of success, helping charities meet their goals,
both financial and strategic. His market knowledge and expertise bring focus
and structure to the fundraising process whilst his personal skills ensure that
clients and supporters alike are listened to, respected and supported.
Patrick works alongside clients to understand their needs and to help formulate strategies that fit their organisations and drive progress. His ability to evaluate and come up with practical solutions whilst instilling enthusiasm and motivation to keep the project moving steadily towards its target has earned Tarnside a solid base of long-term clients.
Patrick was in the UK's first group of senior fundraisers to achieve the CFRE qualification and is a regular speaker at conferences throughout the UK. He supports clients in-house with training, coaching and mentoring as well as trustee 'Think Tank' days.

30 years as a fundraising consultant has seen Andrew de Mille help establish

Andrew and Patrick maintain very close links, sharing professional concerns, reviewing each other's work and using each other as sounding boards and professional colleagues.
Tarnside has a skilled team operating behind the scenes, which enables our consultant to use his time to maximum advantage. This helps us make sure that client projects operate as cost-effectively as possible:
Office Manager – John Waldron
John manages Tarnside's office and adminstration systems and supports Patrick
in drafting case studies, bids, reports and articles. John recently retired
from a senior position in the local council, and also finds time to skipper
the tourist boat on Coniston Water.
Administrator – Ann Humphries
Ann plays a vital role in keeping Tarnside's office running smoothly, whilst
handling the wealth of correspondence necessary to keep clients and funders
involved and informed. Ann joined Tarnside after 22 years at the Field Archaeology
Unit at Birmingham University. She loves spending time in her garden or visiting
'her girls'.
Administrator – Janet Swindlehurst
Janet, together with Ann, ensures that clients' activities are well organised and that Tarnside's affairs are in order. She has years of experience working at Director and Board level for a range of organisations, most recently Cumbria Tourist Board and Queen Katharine School in Kendal. When family and work commitments allow, Janet loves to jump onto a horse or hit the badminton court.
Accounts Controller – Diane Pinder
FCCA
Diane keeps a scrupulous eye on Tarnside's finances and makes sure that our
accounts are kept up-to-date and the business operates efficiently. She gained
her FCCA qualification in 2000 and was previously Finance Manager at Brathay
Hall Trust where she worked in the accounts department for 7 years before leaving
to raise a family.

Phil looks after our website and spends way too much of his time in

up and down the fells on his mountain bike.
Designer – Caroline Barrasford
Caroline ensures that our clients' case statements and documents are professionally
presented. Caroline studied
book publishing at Oxford Brooks University and specialises in print and web
design. She is an enthusiastic cyclist and outdoor person.
IT Systems – Michael Clarke
Mikes keeps Tarnside's IT systems and web programming up-to-date and in
good working order. He is a Computer Science graduate from Lancaster University
specialising in national broadband networks.
Non-Executive Director – Phil Donnison
PhD, CPsychol, AFBPsS, MCIPD
Phil is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist specialising in management and
personal development programmes for employees working in the corporate, public
and voluntary sectors. He is retained as a coach and mentor to senior managers

Non-Executive Director – Vicki Boggon BEd (Hons)
Vicki runs the education arm of Tarnside, providing training to education professionals in quality provision for children and young people within the 'Every Child Matters' framework as well as developing a Forest Schools concept for Cumbria. Vicki also finds time to manage the house and family with remarkable energy and good humour.
Non-Executive Director – Adam Starkey M Eng Man
Adam is the Director and Founder of Green Gourmet which supplies food to schools
throughout the UK and Europe, specialising in vegetarian food. As well as running
his own successful company he acts as business advisor to several others.
Dogs – Minnie & Sydney
And finally we must mention Tarnside's loyal canine staff, Min and Syd, who
keep our feet warm in winter and act as early warning systems for the postman
and any other visitor to Scar View.
