Chris Fancy, Associate Consultant
Experience: Having helped drive Oxford University’s ground-breaking Oxford Thinking Campaign to the £1 billion mark in 2010 as the Deputy Director of Development, Chris joined Tarnside Consulting in 2011.
After a degree from Oxford, he spent 6 years with the RSPB, firstly as Legacy Officer, then moving to run the national Appeals programme and finally working as a project co-ordinator for the Chief Executive.
He then relocated to the Lake District where he was Fundraising Manager for the Lake District National Park and then the National Trust. He became Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Lancaster University in 2002.
In 2007 he moved full-circle back to Oxford to oversee 12 fundraising teams as the Deputy Director of Development for the University of Oxford. In May 2008 he helped launch the public phase of the Oxford Thinking Campaign and in the summer of 2010 this surpassed the landmark income total of £1 billion - making it the largest higher education philanthropic campaign in Europe.
